Jules Verne Voyages
“Jules Verne Voyages” is an artistic interpretation of the novel “From the Earth
to the Moon” and the sequel “Journey around the Moon” by the French science fiction author
Jules Verne. I produced “Jules Verne Voyages” together with the Fulldome
artists Rocco Helmchen and Ralph Heinsohn.
The fifty-five minute long show consists of three thematically related but
stylistically very different episodic pieces. These are done by one on the
frame narrative based on original Verne texts.
“Jules Verne Voyages” was shown in many planetariums in Germany, Switzerland and France
and was also shown at various festivals at home and abroad.
Stills & Graphic Design
In addition to my own part “Nadar”, I have different sequences for the connecting ones
Contributed narrative pieces and developed the key visual with the three Verne heads.
The best thing about the production for me was the always fun production meetings and
Excursions with Rocco and Ralph.
Art projects
Based on my film “Nadar”, I made a VR adaptation of it as well as the artistic installations “Hypersphere” – an improvised inverted projection dome – and the anamorphic image “The Comet”.
